#1 IN THE US-WINNER: BEST OF CLASS-San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

This is the largest, oldest and most respected in the US.

Mike Dunn, SF Chronicle judge, writes, "Don't be put off by its light color. Pinot noir is deceiving in that way. Sometimes - and this is one of them - the lighter the color the jazzier and more transparent the fruit, showing off why Russian River Valley is so recognized for pinot noirs silken, spirited and true to its classic Burgundian heritage."

Deep bright red color with garnet and ruby luminescence. Wafts of black cherry with a balance of earth tones. Rich, ripe fruit with great texture and structure. Leads with dark cherry with a mid-palate of earth, forest floor, Christmas spices and a long peppery finish. A gorgeous wine with a long life ahead.
