RIVER CRUISE FOR WINE LOVERS
RIVER CRUISE FOR WINE LOVERS
March 21-28, 2026
From the moment we stepped aboard the AmaViola, our Rhine River journey felt truly special. Traveling with our Inner Circle Wine Club members and the new friends we met, each day offered a balance of exploration, connection, and exceptional wine. Daily wine tastings and Sip and Sail cocktail hours in the lounge became highlights of the trip.
Each stop along the Rhine had its own character and offerings. In Breisach, on the border of Germany and France, we experienced the Alsatian wine region and enjoyed beautifully expressive wines that reflect the unique terroir of Alsace. In Rüdesheim, we wandered cobblestone streets, tasted local favorites, and enjoyed the region’s famous Rüdesheimer coffee, a warm, rich blend topped with whipped cream and brandy that was as memorable as the views. Cologne impressed with its Gothic cathedral and lively streets, where we tried the iconic Kölsch beers and experienced the city’s vibrant culture. In Düsseldorf, alongside boutique wines, we sampled the city’s signature Altbier, a smooth, dark ale that perfectly complemented riverside walks and historic architecture. Moving into the Netherlands, Utrecht and Amsterdam welcomed us with canals, cafés, and a mix of classic and modern beer and wine scenes.
One of the trip’s highlights was sharing a dinner and wine tasting with our Wine Club members at the Chef’s Table, located in the bow of the boat. Overlooking the castles and scenery along the Rhine, this intimate experience featured perfectly curated, multi course meals paired with exceptional wines, an unforgettable way to experience the region.
What made the journey so memorable was sharing it together. Conversations flowed, laughter filled the lounge, and every toast, whether wine, beer, or Rüdesheimer coffee, became a moment we will carry long after the cruise ended. The combination of great company, incredible food, and meaningful experiences made it all feel both relaxed and special.
For those who joined us, thank you for making it so memorable. And for those who followed along, this is exactly why we do it. We are already looking ahead to 2027, when we set sail for Colors of Provence aboard the AmaKristina, exploring Rhône Valley wines and charming French villages from August 26 to September 2. Based on this trip, it is one you will not want to miss.
